Holt County Ethanol L.L.C. Announces Next Phase Of Construction Process
O'Neill, Nebraska - August 8th, 2006 - Holt County Ethanol, L.L.C., a subsidiary of Midwest Ethanol Producers, L.L.C., is moving to it's next phase of construction on it's 460 acre plant site 6 miles East of O'Neill by selecting Adams Construction of Arapahoe, Nebraska for civil work and Harris Mechanical of St. Paul, MN to perform mechanical work as a subcontractor with Midwest Ethanol Producers, L.L.C
 
 
 
as the general contractor for the project. Adams construction is slated to mobilize on the construction site sometime in September of 2006 pending current workload, with Harris Mechanical to follow. This keeps Holt County Ethanol, L.L.C. on pace with it's projected production start date in the 4th quarter of 2007.

Holdrege, Nebraska - August 8th, 2006 - The Phelps County Commissioners met in regular session this morning and approved the recommendation of rezoning a 140 acre tract of land from agricultural use to conditional industrial use with a 7-0 vote. The next step is submitting permits to the Department Of Environmental Quality.
Phelps County Ethanol, Inc., a subsidiary of Midwest Ethanol
              Producers, L.L.C. head quartered in O’Neill, NE, announced it's plans in April of 2006 to build an ethanol plant on their acquired 140 acre site in Phelps County, Nebraska, just 2 1/2 miles Southwest of Holdrege.
              The Holdrege plant will be permitted to produce more than 100 million gallons of ethanol each year, along with 320,000 tons of dry distillers grain(a high protein cattle feed), and will consume more than 37 million bushels of corn annually.
              The plant will provide 45 professional, skilled and semi-skilled employment opportunities, with compensation packages averaging $52,000.00 per year including benefits.
The plant will pump millions of dollars into the local and area economies through higher wages, contract and sub-contract labor, sales and property tax revenue, improved infrastructure, and higher corn prices for farmers.
              Technology will be Vogelbusch and Engineering by CJ Schneider Engineering Co. out of Omaha. Both companies have recently completed Cornhusker Energy in Lexington, Nebraska.
Phelps County Ethanol, Inc., is in process of submitting all the necessary permits utilizing the services of Olsson Associates of Holdrege,who is also handling geotechnical and materials testing.
Ground breaking is scheduled to be late in the 4th quarter of 2006, with production slated for the 1st quarter of 2008.
              This will be the 2nd planned plant of five for Midwest Ethanol Producers, L.L.C. They are currently in the construction stages for a 100 MMGY Plant in O'Neill, Nebraska following the groundbreaking ceremony held July 28th, 2006. The other three sites are Arapahoe and Elm Creek Nebraska, along with Blencoe, Iowa.

Ethanol plant will locate near Blencoe
 
BLENCOE, IOWA -- Officials from Midwest Ethanol Producers Inc. are in the final stages of purchasing 477 acres of land nestled near this town of 213 people.
The land, shared by brothers Doug Zima, Danny Zima and David Zima, is the future site of an ethanol plant and an electrical plant to be owned by Midwest Ethanol Producers Inc., based in O'Neill, Neb. The
 
Zima farm is located one mile north of Blencoe.north of Blencoe.
              The proposed plant will boost the economy by increasing wages, creating new jobs, bolstering corn prices for farmers and attracting new commerce and residents to Monona County, local officials promised Tuesday.
              "This is an exciting project for us," said Lyn Corkery, executive director of the Monona County Economic Development Partnership. "There is a lot of interest in this area because it is compatible with the environment we have."
              The plant will produce 100 million gallons of ethanol each year, as well as 256,000 tons of dry distiller's grain, a high-protein cattle feed. To manufacture that much ethanol, the plant will need 37 million bushels of corn annually.
