Monona County Ethanol, LLC Speaks to Public about Proposed Blencoe, IA Ethanol Plant
 
O’Neill, Nebraska – October 16, 2006, In two separate meetings held this Monday evening in Onawa and Blencoe, IA, executives from Monona County Ethanol, LLC a Midwest Ethanol Producers, LLC Company, presented plans and addressed concerns associated with the construction of a 100 Million Gallon Per year ethanol production facility near the town of Blencoe, IA.
 

              Kurt Bravo – Chief Financial officer presented the Details of the proposed plant. Along with Mr. Bravo, Dennis Bravo Company President and Marina Bravo Company Vice President, answered and addressed questions and concerns from those that attended.
Approximately 200 local residents attended the two informational meetings held.
Mr. Bravo stated that the plant will provide 45 - 50 professional, skilled and semi-skilled employment opportunities, with compensation packages averaging $52,000.00 per year including benefits.
              The plant is expected to pump millions of dollars into the local and area economies through higher wages, contract and sub-contract labor, sales and property tax revenue, improved infrastructure, and higher corn prices for farmers.
Technology will be provided by PRAJ Industries and Engineering by CJ Schneider Engineering Co. a PRAJ Company, Both out of Omaha Nebraska. Aventine Renewable Energy located in Peekin Illinois will be managing the ethanol marketing, while Midwest Ethanol Producers, LLC will be marketing the Distillers Grains.
              Ground breaking is scheduled to be in January of 2007, with production slated for the 1st quarter of 2008.
              This will be the fifth planned plant for Midwest Ethanol Producers, LLC. They are currently in the construction stages of a 100 MMGY Plant in O'Neill, Nebraska.

Midwest Ethanol Producers, LLC, Management Team will be providing updates and will be available to answer questions regarding the proposed Ethanol Plant in Blencoe
  Blencoe, IA- October 13th, 2006 - Midwest Ethanol Producers, LLC Management team will be on hand to speak to the public at two public information update meetings set for Monday October 16th 2006. The first meeting will be held at the Onawa Library at 5:00pm.
The Second will be held at the Blencoe, IA Community Center at 7:00 pm.
 

              The ethanol plant will be owned by Monona County Ethanol, L.L.C., a subsidiary of Midwest Ethanol Producers, L.L.C. of O'Neill, Nebraska.The Blencoe plant will be built at a cost of about $140 million. It will produce more than 100 million gallons of ethanol each year, along with 256,000 tons of dry distillers grain (a high protein cattle feed), and will consume more than 37 million bushels of corn annually.

              The plant will provide 45 professional, skilled and semi-skilled employment opportunities, with compensation packages averaging $52,000.00 per year including benefits.

              Technology will be Vogelbusch and Engineering by CJ Schneider Engineering Co. out of Omaha. Both companies have recently completed Cornhusker Energy in Lexington, Nebraska.

              Aventine Renewable Energy, Inc. has been chosen to handle the ethanol marketing duties, while Olsson Associates will take care of the geotechnical, railroad design, natural gas supply, and materials testing.

              Construction is planned to begin in January of 2007, while production is slated for the 2nd quarter of 2008.
